SP22 CMST Visit to the Fabrica del sol

Through a guided tour, the students were able to discover the Fàbrica del Sol, an environmental educationfacility promoted by the Department of Ecology, Urbanism and Mobility of Barcelona City Council.

The rehabilitation of the space has incorporated environmental measures and solutions, such as the use of rainwater, an indoor vertical garden, a geothermal heat pump, a pergola and a wall with photovoltaic panels, in addition natural ventilation.

The demonstration building is open to everyone to promote and spread the culture of sustainability.

The students discovered environmental solutions incorporated in the building and in other public facilities and what strategies can we adopt to live more sustainably.
