The students melt the ice with the help of hairdriers and need to make estimations related to time and temperature to determine if theinitial hypotheses is real, taking into account as well the temperature and CO2 concentration.

They make experiments related to real environmental problems and see how scientists work to prove if their initial hypothesis are real when they need to offer a scientific answer.

They cooperate in small groups and communicate in English to exchange and check findings. During the experiment done under thesupervision of two chemistry teachers from hosting shool, the students worked with hair dryers, scales, calculators, water, bakingsoda and all sorts chemitry tools.

The students enjoyed this activity very much.
