PSLL: Review and assessment of the week

Friday May 9th was the last  day  at school during the stay in Romania. Before receiving the certicates and taking part in the farewell party, the Romanian and French students were gathered together in the school reception room  to reflect on the week and the activities they participated to. First, each pair of students was given a  sheet of coloured paper on which they were asked to draw the outline of one of their hands. Then they cut out the hand and wrote words expressing what they felt during the week of exchange. They were asked to use English, French or Romanian. The most common words we saw were happiness, sharing, love, friendship, cooperation, joy…

They could decorate the hand as they wished.

Then we took pictures of the students presenting their "hands» to the rest of the group.

Finally, we all went near a large metal tree painted green and tied the hands to the branches with the help of a small ribbon in Romanian colours. The multicoloured hands hanging on the tree and carrying the words of happiness and joy from the students were really a fine sight.

The tree was then transported to the school hall where it will remain for everybody in the school to see.

Of course lots of photos were taken to keep a souvenir of the event.

The students all took an active part in the activity. They reflected upon what they had  felt or improved in their personality during the week. They  recalled the different emotions  they felt. It was a good opportunity to realize what the week  brought them and how it changed them.
